Cannabinoids

By definition “Cannabinoids, broadly speaking, are a class of biological compounds that bind to cannabinoid receptors. They are most frequently sourced from and associated with the plants of the Cannabis genus, including Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis.”[1]

THC and CBD are considered to be “major” cannabinoids, while any others are considered to be “minor” or “rare” cannabinoids due to the low concentrations found in the plant. But just because they are less abundant does not mean that they don’t have their own roles to play.
