Beta Caryophyllene
Is BCP a cannabinoid or is it a terpene? It actually is both! BCP is often categorized as a cannabinoid, not a terpene, because it binds to CB2 cannabinoid receptors. It is also found in abundance in several legal herbs and spices (not just cannabis) but is even an FDA-approved food additive. For this reason, some sources label BCP the “first dietary cannabinoid”. [1]
Studies are showing that BCP could potentially curb addiction withdrawals and applied as a tumor suppressant. As always, please consult your doctor prior to starting a cannabis regimen. as it can interfere with some standard medications.
